Thank you for taking the time to visit our site! You are valuable to God and valuable to us also. If you live in Birmingham, have relocated to study or just visiting the city, we would love to have you join us at one of our services this weekend.

Mount Zion Community Church is a part of the Assemblies of God in the UK. Each week 300-400 people attend our services and many more than that call Mount Zion their home. We place a high value on creating a welcoming and friendly environment where authentic relationships and teaching are a priority. Our music is vibrant and passionate and easy to relate to.

We are equally committed to helping people find faith and helping people grow in their faith. We are well known in the community for responding to many of the issues directly affecting our community over the years.

Steps to Visiting on a Weekend

1. Choose a Service: We have two services on most Sundays, however, the last Sunday of every month is ‘Super Sunday’ this is a joint service bringing all our congregations together.

The times are as follows:
Sunday service 10.30am – 1.00pm
Super Sunday ( last Sunday of every month) – One service 10.30am-1.00pm

‘Zion Kids’ and ‘Appledrops Creche’ is available on most Sundays during the first service.
Our Young people, World Changers Army (WCA) – 11-17yr olds meet every Friday between 7pm and 9.30pm.

whattoexpect2. Arrive and Park: Plan to arrive 15 minutes early to find parking and get into the service. If you have children, it’s best to arrive 15 minutes early to get them settled into Zion Kids, our Children’s church. Zion Kids takes place during our Sunday morning service.

3. Find a Place for Yourself and Your Kids: One of our welcoming team will be available as you come through the front door. Simply ask them to point you to the auditorium (or to children’s check-in if you have kids). Our welcoming team can help you with directions, questions or other needs you may have.

4. Celebrate Through Worship: Ushers will welcome you into the auditorium. You are free to sit anywhere you like or you can choose to have an usher help you find a seat. Our service begins with approximately 30 minutes of music. Words to all songs are displayed on large video screens. There is then a greeting (shake hands with those around you), announcements, communion, an offering and a teaching message. Our services typically last about 2 hours.

5. Enjoy Your Visit in Comfort: During our service you will be made to feel welcome as a visitor. You are not expected to participate in the offering. You may choose to participate in communion . . . or not (either way is just fine). You will not be pressured into a visitor’s reception. You can remain entirely anonymous if you like. We’re just glad you came. You are encouraged to visit as often as you like. When you are comfortable, take the next step and connect with us.

7. Food, WIFI & Restrooms: We know how important a food is! We want you to be able to relax in the church foyer before and after services. Our wonderful catering staff provide selection of food and drinks that you can purchase after the service either to eat in or take away. Toilets are in the foyer and upstairs in the main auditorium. We have free WIFI internet connections. Simply select “MZCC Courtesy” from your list of available wireless networks.

6. Connect with Mount Zion: We trust you will enjoy your visit to Mount Zion. If you would like to know more about the church, simply fill out a visitor’s card during the service. If you would like to be part of the Mount Zion Church family, take the one-evening membership class Membership 101, taught by one of our Pastoral staff. If you are new to the Christian faith or simply reconnecting with it, sign up for New Creations, our new believer’s class.
